Hey All,

This years CCMA’s were a blast!
It’s always a great time for catching up with friends and taking in some great events.
Fan Fest was once again great fun, I had a blast on stage with Lisa Brokop, The Wilkinsons, and Aaron Prichett and it was so great to meet with the fans who had been waiting in line for such a long time for all of us to sign and take some pics, you guys are the best!
I also enjoyed hosting the Gibson All Star Band late night jam after the musician’s awards where many great talents took to the stage. Very late night for me though, lol!
Let’s do it again next year!
My favourite event was playing the songwriter’s café with Johnny Reid, Hey Romeo, & JD Clark, great songs and fun times. Johnny brought the room to tears with a touching song about his old furry friend “Wallace” who passed last year. Touching song dude.
Hey Romeo also did a great job and would go on to win Best New Group later that night!
JD also had some great new music and I’m excited for his promising career.
I played Slow Time Down & Rock In My Boot from the new CD and then brought a young lady I’ve been working with up on stage to sing. Her name is Morgan Tobias and she’s going to be a big star folks so be watching for her next year! Great job Morgan!

I thought this years awards show was great too, great performances all around. The production looked fantastic once again as well, hats of to the CCMA, CBC, & Joel Stewart and the gang.
My highlight of the night was presenting a well-deserved group of the year, with Male artists of the year Johnny Reid, to the hometown boys Doc Walker! Glad I got to share in that moment with you guys, way 2 go!

My First Car ended up another Top 10 hit for me and is still climbing the video chart on CMT landing at #6 this week.
I have to say a huge thanks to everyone at Country radio & CMT for a great year and all the support. Thanks to Dayna, Ted, Joel, Paul, Henry and everyone who worked on the My First Honda contest and congratulations to Nicky R. of Oakville, ON who drove away in her brand new 2008 Honda Civic.

This week my new single Good Day To Get Gone made it’s debut in the Top 40 and it the #1 most added song at country radio for the second week in a row!
