Hello everyone,

Wether you are a singer in a band or just love to sing by yourself then this is for you!!!

Jackhammers is having a singing contest with some GREAT prizes.

This will NOT hit the air on Country 95.3 until Thursday May 22. That gives our subscribers time to tell friends and family to get here this Tuesday at 8pm. JACKHAMMERS Singing Contest:

Try outs will be every Tuesday night starting May 20th.
8 people will be chosen that night to perform 10 days later in front of a crowd of people. The top two performers will then be voted on at the end of the night by our customers who will then move on to the Semi Finals July 11th and hopefully to the finals on July 18th. Please bring your own tracks if possible. We will however have a library of songs to choose from.


RULES:

-You must be 19 years of age or older

-You cannot have had a CD out that was funded by Factor or any Canadian Heritage Program

-Songs sung must be Country only NO OTHER GENRES.
-All songs sung will be performed to tracks, however this is not a karaoke contest therefore there will be no words on screen or reading from paper.
-No start over on songs. Once you start you will be expected to do your best to finish.

-Winner to perform at Jackhammers Tailgate Party at the Skydome (ROGERS CENTRE) on Blue Jay Country Night July 28th.
-Perform at the Fergus Truck show on the main stage in 2009
-Perform at the Rhinestone Country Music fest & Rodeo on Aug.3/2008 with Jason Aldene
-Perform at The Cambridge Fair on Sept. 7th/2008
-2 song Demo produced by RS Sounds and Production
-If needed a band will be supplied to back you up at all shows.


Runner up
- Perform at the Fergus Truck show 2009 on side stage ( to Tracks)
- Perform at the Cambridge Fair Sept. 2008 ( to Tracks)
- Acoustic Guitar from MacAulay’s Music Store in Cambridge
