CCMA week 2008!

Hey All,

This years CCMA�s were a blast!
It�s always a great time for catching up with friends and taking in some great events.
Fan Fest was once again great fun, I had a blast on stage with Lisa Brokop, The Wilkinsons, and Aaron Prichett and it was so great to meet with the fans who had been waiting in line for such a long time for all of us to sign and take some pics, you guys are the best!
I also enjoyed hosting the Gibson All Star Band late night jam after the musician�s awards where many great talents took to the stage. Very late night for me though, lol!
Let�s do it again next year!
My favourite event was playing the songwriter�s caf� with Johnny Reid, Hey Romeo, & JD Clark, great songs and fun times. Johnny brought the room to tears with a touching song about his old furry friend �Wallace� who passed last year. Touching song dude.
Hey Romeo also did a great job and would go on to win Best New Group later that night!
JD also had some great new music and I�m excited for his promising career.
I played Slow Time Down & Rock In My Boot from the new CD and then brought a young lady I�ve been working with up on stage to sing. Her name is Morgan Tobias and she�s going to be a big star folks so be watching for her next year! Great job Morgan!

I thought this years awards show was great too, great performances all around. The production looked fantastic once again as well, hats of to the CCMA, CBC, & Joel Stewart and the gang.
My highlight of the night was presenting a well-deserved group of the year, with Male artists of the year Johnny Reid, to the hometown boys Doc Walker! Glad I got to share in that moment with you guys, way 2 go!

My First Car ended up another Top 10 hit for me and is still climbing the video chart on CMT landing at #6 this week.
I have to say a huge thanks to everyone at Country radio & CMT for a great year and all the support. Thanks to Dayna, Ted, Joel, Paul, Henry and everyone who worked on the My First Honda contest and congratulations to Nicky R. of Oakville, ON who drove away in her brand new 2008 Honda Civic.

This week my new single Good Day To Get Gone made it�s debut in the Top 40 and it the #1 most added song at country radio for the second week in a row!

Hey Everybody,

Everything kicks off this week for me in Burlington, ON for the sound of music festival with Canadian country legend George Fox. Then, on June 24th I have been invited to open for superstar actor Kevin Costner! Yes, it�s true�the guy sings too! Actually, he and his band �Modern West� have been together for a few years and they�re great. It�s kind of a Tom Petty country thing and it�s cool. Last night my new single/video made it�s big debut on the CMT30! I was supposed to be there but due to the circumstances I was unable to attend the taping on Monday. So, I watched the show from a hotel room in Ontario, lol. If you missed it, they showed a bunch of silly behind the scenes stuff that I totally forgot about. We had a fun shoot and yes, it really was tick season in Moose Jaw when we shot the video and they were everywhere!

The BIG NEWS though, was the announcement of the �MY FIRST HONDA� contest! I�m so pumped about this! Together with CMT & Honda, we will give away a 2008 Honda Civic to one lucky winner this summer! How cool is that? Please visit www.jasonblaine.ca for details.

Amy and I were really shaken up from the whole thing but everyone is ok and for that I am thankful. I am now back in Canada and I�m really looking forward to this summer�s crazy tour schedule. NEW CD "MAKE MY MOVE" IN STORES NOW

The fans had been waiting and the first week of record sales have been fantastic with reports of "sold out" at several Walmart locations! Please write to us at "contact management" or on Facebook if you couldn't find a copy of "Make My Move" and let us know where. Sometimes the stores need our help keepin track so simply let us know which store and we'll get it there!

CLOSE CALL FOR JASON BLAINE & WIFE AMY

Jason Blaine and his wife Amy were involved in a minor car accident late last night in Nashville, TN.

Returning from a CMA event, the vehicle they were in was struck from behind while stopped at a red light. Both Jason and his wife are fine and have no injuries. Although, the whole event left them both understandably shaken as they are expecting the birth of their second child in October.

Ironically, Jason was scheduled to appear on the CMT30 with host Paul McGuire on June 11th for the debut of his latest single/video �My First Car�. Due to the circumstances, Jason will be unable to make it to the shows taping in Toronto, ON. �I�m just thankful to God that my wife is ok and also that the other person is too�, says Jason.

On the road again!!

Hey Everybody!

Had an amazing show in Toronto on Canada Day! If you were there, then I don�t have to tell you that the crowd was awesome, the weather was great, and the music was loud!
I�m writing you tonight from a hotel room in Calgary.
It�s so great to be out on the road playing this music live, after all, that�s the fun part!
Tomorrow morning lobby call is for 7am (ouch!) and the show at the Chinook Centre starts at 8:00am. I�m told folks always party out here like it�s 5 o�clock somewhere! Looking forward to performing at Nashville North on the 10th too, I hear that�s going to be packed!
Hope you tune in to the Chevy Top 20 this weekend when �Rock In My Boot� debuts at #18!! I got to chat a bit with Casey Clark and he totally surprised me with that!
Also, don�t forget to request it on your favourite local country station so it goes all the way to #1!!!

New Video & New Record on the way!

Hey Everybody,

It�s already done! The new record is ready to go and will feature 10 new song + 3 extra bonus tracks. I can tell you that I think the new video will be added to it too!

New record in the works!

Hey Everybody,

Ok, I know it�s been a while but it�s been a really crazy-busy time here in Nashville writing and working on the new record. I do have some cool news for you though!
Things are moving along very quickly down here, we�re actually heading into the studio on March 15th & 16th to cut the rest of the new record and it will be ready to go in early April. So, that means it will be in stores by June and in time for this summer�s shows! Woo hoo!!
Also, we are hoping to shoot a video in March as well for the first single, which should be out sometime in April. In the meantime, the current single/video is still rockin� along on CMT and radio climbing to #6 on CMT this week and another Top 20 at radio!!!
Getting into the Top 20 at radio is really hard these days and I want to say a huge thank you to anyone who requested it and to country radio for playing it.
If everything works out, the new music will come out just as What I Can�t Forget is crossing the finish line�in 1st we hope! Haha!

I am looking forward to the upcoming shows in Ontario and hope you can make it out if you�re in the area.
